The landfill liner system at American Landfill meets the Subtitle D and the BAT standards. The landfill liner system consists of multiple layers which include a five feet thick recompacted clay liner and a
60-mil textured High Density Polyethylene (HPDE) liner. See graph below for all the layers. The liner components are subjected to very rigorous and comprehensive quality control testing prior to being used for construction.
